I used wildflowers from our backyard for this 11 x 14 study in oil. It is interesting to check in periodically during the course of the year to see how the patch of flowers is evolving. There is always something to appreciate, from an artistic standpoint. First there are the spring and early summer blooms, then other varieties pop up as the summer progresses. Now there are a lot of old, dead remains, but even these are interesting to look at.
