The location for this painting is about a mile from my house in Albuquerque. The sun was setting, and I had to work fast to make some color notes during last few minutes of light.

Music To Watch Clouds By
Here is an abbreviated list of composers and songwriters whose music inspires images of clouds, rain, wind, sun, sky and space. For me, the selected pieces capture intangible moods created by dramatic light, color and atmosphere. The selection of music is therefore purely subjective, and wasn't necessarily written for this purpose. If the strong choral component of these pieces suggests a spiritual take, so be it. I regard it as a cultural artifact. I mean, what would cloud music be without ethereal choral accompaniment? I particularly like listening to this music while driving, but have to remember to keep my head out of the clouds and my eyes on the road. Send me your favorite examples of "cloud music."
